Strings by Kendall Grey

May's New to Me Author is Kendall Grey. I recently fell in awe of another "new to me" author, Madeline Sheehan (Undeniable & Unbeautifully) and on her Facebook page she made a recommendation for Strings by Kendall Grey. I loved Olivia Cunning's sexy and smutty Sinners on Tour series and Strings seemed similar but more with a female as the lead protagonist (Hard Rock Harlots). I jumped all over that and below is my review.

Todd "Shades" Armstrong & Letty Dillinger's book

Strings (Hard Rock Harlot's book 1)

By Kendall Grey

Book Blurb:
WARNING: STRINGS is not suitable for slut shamers, uptight stone throwers, Holier-Than-Thou prudes, humorless virgins, persons with chronic neck or back pain, pearl-clutching bitties, those who disparage crude humor or vulgarity in their many forms, closed-minded people with sticks up their asses, or anyone under the age of 18. The vile, base language and shocking, unholy sexual acts contained herein are not condoned by anyone with a lick of sense and should certainly not be reproduced without proper training and protection. The potty-mouthed and perpetually horny "heroine" (the term is used loosely) of this book does not resemble a normal, well-adjusted, or remotely believable person in any way, shape, or form. The author acknowledges that the characters in this book are shallow and two-dimensional; the plot is both ridiculous and insipid. She makes no apologies for any of it.

Free-spirited musician Letty Dillinger adheres to a strict, “no strings attached” policy when it comes to men. After a wild night of unabashed sex in a fancy hotel room, she never expects to see the adventurous stud she dubs “Shades” again. When her all-girl rock trio books a tour at the last minute as the opening act for their archenemies, Letty’s shocked to discover she knows the competition’s new lead singer. Intimately. Shades is no longer a one-night stand. Now he’s the guy she has to one-up on stage every night for the sake of her career.

Sharing close quarters on a bus with her sexy nemesis and his bad-boy buddies puts Letty’s Golden Rule to the test. On this tour, guitar strings aren’t the only things being played. And when heartstrings are pulled too hard, they’re bound to snap sooner or later.

Reading the book blurb warnings, I am not sure what else I could add. Strings was deliciously raunchy. It was a heavy metal anthem. Strings rocked!

How do I describe Letty? She is a free spirit channeling in every female rock legend that ever was. She is unabashed in every single thing she does. She has a thousand different names for her vagina and I swear I giggled with every new term. Here are a few example of her creative descriptions:
Muff butter, cum catcher, parting my meat curtains with his pork sword, moisture missile against my cock holster, furburger...and on and on. I was cracking up.

Shades is the son of a very rich business man. He doesn't fit the mould his dad wishes he'd squeeze into but his tattoo'd, pierced self has his hopes and dreams on a successful rock career. He is a bad ass bass player that Letty can't help but fall for. Well truthfully Shades falls for Letty just as hard.

With two bands squished together on a band tour bus, Shades' band and Letty's band had to learn to get along. It felt a lot like boys against the girls. There was a whole lot of competition. I loved it. The bets, the challenges and the forced companionship was awesome. I'd love to see the author's visual inspiration for the inside of the tour bus.

Stings is like shock rock. The words, the raunchiness, the sex, the swearing and it's a bundled together in this hot erotic novel. Strings is not for everyone and the warning the author added is true. So don't buy Strings and be disappointed that it's "not your thing". Be warned, it's not for everyone. I loved it.

Teasers: strap on usage, teasing M/M action, bikinis vs nerd gear, awesome chapter titles
