A - Blogging Challenge "Amazon Gift Cards"

A to Z Challenge is posting every day in April except Sundays (we get those off for good behavior.) And since there are 26 days, that matches the 26 letters of the alphabet. On April 1, blog about something that begins with the letter “A.” April 2 is “B,” April 3 is “C,” and so on.

I'm taking on this April Alphabet Blogging Challenge. I thought it would be fun to commit to the challenge and have my theme be all about Books, Blogging, Reading etc. Hopefully I can do it!

Being that this is April 1st, my first challenge letter is A

I'm going to blog about one of my favourite places to buy books,  Amazon

I have to admit that one of my favourite gifts to receive are
Amazon Gift Cards!
Whenever there is a blog hop, if the prize is an Amazon Gift Card, I am sure to enter. Whenever there is a birthday or a reason for me to be lucky enough to receive a gift, the first thing I answer when I'm asked what I would like is "An Amazon Gift Card." I'm not even fussy about how much it is for. I just LOVE seeing that I have a gift card credit balance.

I've even buy myself gift cards to monitor how much I spend per month on books. So if I've given myself an allowance of $25 per month, I buy myself a gift card and that is my budget for the month.

The reason for my monetary limitation for my gift card purchase is because I am a bit addicted to the Amazon 1-Click!

Are you addicted to the "Buy now with 1-Click" too? What do you do to curb your addiction? I found that buying myself a gift card really helped.

  1. Oh yes I so love my Amazon giftcards too! I'm actually pretty good about not over spending lately (unless it's a book signing). I put my Amazon wishlist to good use. Unless I'm gonna read the book immediately it gets wishlisted then I keep an eye on that for price drops. If it goes 99cents or free I'll pick it up. Otherwise I just wait until I'm ready to actually read it :)

  2. I love Amazon GCs. I ask for them as well. I feel so decadent when I can just click on a buy link and boom I have a book. I have been known to save my change and turn it in a coin machine that offers Amazon GCs as a payment option.

I'm a fan of Amazon as well--I also buy a lot of used books and I use the site abebooks for that--they make it SO EASY to find a good bargain!

  7. Amazon gift cards and Visa gift cards are the only way's I control my book buying habit. Visa gift cards work great on ARe. Not quite the "one-click" but pretty darn close! ;)

  11. Love Amazon GCs! I have a wishlist I often stock pile with books that I just don't want to pay full price on but still want to read. When I get a GC I don't feel as guilty buying them that way as with the bank account.
