Stocking Full of Cole by Brynn Paulin

Tamah Jones and Cole Greenwood's book

Stocking Full of Cole

By Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb: When Tamah Jones came home for the holidays, the last thing she expected was to learn that Cole Greenwood, a man eleven years her junior, wants her and has for years.
For Cole, Tamah has always been unattainable. Now, however, he’s ready to make a move and prove he’s the one for her. He’s ready to give everything, just to be hers, but the two must overcome geography, age difference and her overbearing family before being together can be more than a distant Christmas dream.

Provided a review copy by publisher for a honest review

Stocking Full of Cole is a sweet story with erotic elements. Brynn Paulin has wrote some very steamy erotic books in the past so this one is quite tame in comparison.

The real spin on Stocking Full of Cole is that since Tamah is eleven years older, she used to babysit Cole. He has always had a crush on her and over the years, he has loved her from afar. Now that he is twenty three and well established, Cole is going to make his move. As luck would have it, Tamah is single.

I quite liked the fact that she was older. I really don't think age should play to heavily on a romance as long as it is legal and they are in love. There were times where I felt that Cole was actually more mature than Tamah so clearly in this situation, age should not have mattered.

The intimate scenes were well written and full of romance. With the  added bonus of having Christmas time for the setting, there was a lot of opportunity for romance. I loved the horse drawn sled ride and the Christmas stocking present. It was all very warm and moving. If you can look past the bad cover, you'll enjoy the story.

All In by Brynn Paulin

All In
By Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb:
When Erik Porter’s friends dared him to kiss a random guy at the bar, he never thought things would take a turn for the steamy. The dare leads to a connection he never expected and a night he’ll never forget.

I just love these short Exotic Gems from Resplendence Publishing. I especially like when Brynn Paulin writes an Exotic Gem because I just love her writing.

After Erik accepts bet dared by his two friends, he walks up to a complete stranger (a man) and kisses him lips to lips, tongue to tongue. What he thought was a cool three hundred bucks knocked his socks off and made him stagger out of the Vegas bar they were all in.

I enjoyed All In, because it was a story about a male's sexual preference discovery and his "first time". I love reading about romance adult"first time" stories.

You wouldn't think with a quick short story I would feel a connection between Erik and Joel but it was completely believable that Erik was shocked and excited to find out he really wanted to pursue Joel sexually.

Their intimate scene was exciting and super sexy. I wanted to Erik to walk away comfortable with his decisions and not feel shame. I really liked that the author, Brynn Paulin did that to Erik. I also liked that she wrote that his one night of lust did not lead him to all of sudden date tons of men. All In was a great sexy read.

Not to give away the ending, but I loved it.

Fill Her Up by Brynn Paulin

Fill Her Up (Daly Way Series, Book Three)Verity, Sim and Patrick's book

Fill Her Up (A Daly Way Story book 3)

By Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb:
Ten years ago, Verity Thompson ran from Daly, leaving behind her family and her lovers. Now, fresh from veterinary school, she’s returning to take over her father’s practice. She never suspects her old lovers will corner her within minutes of her return.

Patrick and Sim have never forgotten Verity, the girl they believe has always been destined for them. Hoping to sway her back to them, they convince her to give them a weekend of no-holds-barred sex. Little does she know that two of their close friends would be coming to town, too.

It doesn’t take Verity long to remember what she’d felt for the men, but when her father tells her he’s not giving her a job, she’s faced with the very choice she once ran from and feared: a lifetime in her men’s arms or the job of her dreams.

Although this is book 3 in the Daly Way series, each one is a stand-alone and you can easily pick up any one of these erotic stories at any time. The link in the story is the fantasy town Daly where the population of women are scarce and the men are willing to share.

Because women are so few and far between, when a woman is brought into a relationship it is usually the ménage style and they are treasured, loved,  adored and oh yeah, they’re usually exhausted from being pleasured so often.

Fill Her Up was an excellent addition to this steamy series. Keeping with the Daly Way, Fill HerUp was a great double entendre in relation to the gas station Patrick operates and how Sim and Patrick satisfy her. There is no shortage of hot sexy love as Patrick and Sim strive to keep Verity from leaving Daly after her promised weekend of bliss. I love books where there is history between the characters and Patrick, Sim and Verity go all the way back to high school when the three of them had long term plans. That’s why it seemed so natural for Verity to make a decision to carry out such a lustful weekend.

For me what steps up the heat factor in Fill Her Up is that Sim had an attraction to Patrick as well the love he already felt for Verity. Patrick wasn’t ready to admit it yet, but he had a strong attraction to Sim. Verity seemed to be the anchor that brought those burgeoning feelings to freely appear. She supported if not encouraged the love to blossom. There is just something so much more sexier to me when the men in a ménage touch and love each other too.

So if I felt that was hot, let’s add two more studly bi-military men to the weekend mix and you have a very sexy, hot grouping. I love how Brynn Paulin makes it very clear in her books that the women are all for it and there is no pressure. It is never left up for an assumption but very clearly stated. I totally respect that and why I keep coming back to all Brynn Paulin books.

Mr. Smith's Whip by Brynn Paulin

Colin and Livvy's book

Mr. Smith’s Whip

Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb:
Librarian Olivia McKinnion's life rarely changes as she oversees the Brandywine community library and archives, but when Colin Smith takes up residence to research his latest book, everything changes. She's heard whispers of Mr. Smith's whip and his dominant ways-whispers that make her tremble with need for her secret wishes to be fulfilled. And more than anything, she wants Colin to show her the darker side of sex, bent over his knee and begging for more.

First I want to give a shout out to Les Byerley who is responsible for the beautiful cover art on Brynn Paulin’s Taboo series & Daly Way series. I am not sure if he does her other books too, but these are the best covers.

Second I will start off with high praise of Mr. Smith’s Whip. I have a huge back log of books to read for reviews and I ended up taking the time to read Mr. Smith’s Whip twice. I loved it that much. I finished it, then promptly turned around and read it again. I will no doubt re-read again another time.

The cover art makes me tingle. It looks kinda scary and yet so erotic. That is precisely how I felt reading Mr. Smith’s Whip anticipating the whipping scene. The whipping is the big ending and I don’t think I am ruining the story by saying so. Excellent build up along the way.

Olivia has led a sexually unsatisfying life. She craves the BDSM habits and she wants to dabble and try out the lifestyle but her efforts with previous boyfriends had all but fizzled. There’s nothing worse than being a submissive and having to tell a man what he needs to do.

After an embarrassing daydream witnessed by Colin, he picked up on her queues and approached Olivia with a few simple tests. Colin is private and didn’t want to jeopardize anything by making any incorrect assumptions.

Colin *sigh* oh Colin. With his English accent and his commanding presence I have a new book boyfriend. Even though Colin is a Dom he had a wee bit of insecurity and I wanted to protect him. I found him to be incredibly sexy. I love that he shortened Olivia’s name to “Livvy” as it portrayed an immediate comfort between the soon to be lovers. The way he crawled in bed with her when she was sick made me swoon.

I loved that Colin took her to the restaurant, La Maison, because he didn’t just want a Slave/Master relationship. He wanted to know her and wanted to know all about her like a regular date. Although if you read Mr. Smith’s Whip, the La Maison dinner did not turn out like a regular date *fans self* While at La Maison for dinner, they had a great chat about expectations, safe words and boundary lines. I really liked that Colin clearly wanted to know this information from Livvy and that Olivia felt free and comfortable to say her peace. Especially that she did not want to be shared with another man. I did melt a little more when Colin says, “No sharing, poppet. Just me.”

Once again this Taboo Wishes story included “The Dungeon” and that is where most of the arousing action occurs.  Mr. Smith’sWhip had so much erotic hotness that I don’t know where to start with my praise. Interestingly enough one of my favourite scenes involves Colin watching from behind a monitor not even touching Livvy. The sexy voyeurism scene involved Livvy and another woman sub, Syb. I’m not usually a big fan of F/F but their time together was sexy and since Colin was watching, it raised the heat level. I’d love to read more about the two of them together with Colin.

Like most stories there is a villain you love to hate and in this case the jerk is a library co-worker wannabe Dom named Todd.  I loved to hate him and all his nastiness and it just put Colin on a higher pedestal. I am glad that Colin disliked him as well because what I have read in other D/s books, the sub never wants to embarrass her Dom by not following directions from another Dom. It was perfect that Brynn Paulin wrote and made their situation clear in the expectations conversation at La Maison.

There are still many other things I loved about Mr. Smith’s Whip but my review is getting to long. That tends to happen when I give out 5 heart reviews. If you like the D/s style of books, you’ll love this book and many of the others that Brynn Paulin writes.

Yuletide Greetings by Brynn Paulin

Yuletide Greetings

Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb:

Zach Colvin never believed in Santa Claus, so filling in as Santa at the mall for one of his friends is not making his holiday bright. He’s supposed to be on vacation, not working. When his brother promises to send him a package full of holiday cheer, he never expected it to be a near-naked woman.

Kate Morgan has made a mistake. After many emails, she’s meeting a man for a near-anonymous hook up, but she's stunned to find a different man opening the front door—a man with a determined grin, mesmerizing eyes, and a naughty penchant for spanking.

Christmas in June!! Well it sure felt like Christmas when Brynn Paulin herself sent me Yuletide Greetings & Mr. Smith’s Whip to review. I have long adored Brynn Paulin’s erotic work so I jumped at the opportunity to review these little gems.

If you are not familiar with Brynn’s erotic books, you should bring up her name on Goodreads and see all the amazing stories she has available. I am very partial to the Taboo Wishes series and Yuletide Greetings is book 3.

Zach and Kate are perfect for each other. Zach is just what Kate needs and visa versa. Both of them work in an industry that requires them to be sexually discreet so it’s very difficult to meet the person of your dreams.

Kate is involved with the children’s book industry so you can imagine trying to demonstrate prudence and circumspection when all you want to do is bend over a lover’s knee and get spanked.  Likewise Zach is a school principal and what he wants to act out sexually wouldn’t sit well with PTA. Lonely during the holiday season, Zach begrudgingly volunteers his time to act out as Santa at the local mall.

A misunderstanding of sorts lands Kate literally on Zach’s doorstep. Once Zach opens his front door, even though he is wearing the Santa suit, he’s thinking Santa has just delivered him the present he had on his own naughty list. Immediately the pair connect and the chill outside soon turns to blazing hot when Kate gives in to her desires and submits to Zach.

I love that even though Brynn Paulin books are erotica there is always this amazing chemistry and story that goes into each one of her books. Zach and Kate were aware and attracted to each other prior to the doorstep encounter so the foundation existed  for a budding romance. Both characters are slightly flawed with their own insecurities and as a couple they seems to melt away. However when Kate’s insecurities get the best of her, Zach won’t allow it and punishes her in the most sexy way *big smile*

Yuletide Greetings is super hot and there is no need to wait for the Christmas season to read how creative Zach can be with a candy cane.

Kidnap and Kink by Brynn Paulin

Jenna Marks and Rob Colvin's book

Kidnap and Kink

by Brynn Paulin

Book Blurb:

A Taboo Wishes Tale
Be Careful What You Wish For…

Jenna Marks has a secret fantasy, to be kidnapped, tied up and seduced. When she confides her secret to her best friend on a dare, she never imagines her wish might come true.

Rob Colvin, owner of The Dungeon, has had his eye on Jenna for months, but he didn’t think Jenna would be into the things that make him hot. When he overhears her secret, he knows he’s going to be the one to deliver her fantasy—one weekend of her submission to him, her mysterious and masterful lover.

At first I was turned off by this cover on Kidnap and Kink because the woman was so skinny and boney but after reading the story, I love how the cover is directly related to the book.

I so enjoy Brynn Paulin books. They are so hot that they sizzle in my hand.

Kidnap and Kink starts out with the Jenna confessing her favorite fantasy to a girlfriend in a coffee shop. She wants to be kidnapped and seduced. In the coffee shop Jenna is overheard by Rob who has been wanting to approach her for some time. He decides he will help her live her fantasy.

Even though it was a kidnapped story with BDSM I was able to enjoy Kidnap and Kink because it was very clear that Jenna wanted to be kidnapped and all the seduction that goes along with being a sex slave. Rob told her upfront he would not hurt her and gave her the option to decline the experience. Since Jenna thought her girlfriend set it up the fantasy she went for it; however after Rob got her to his cabin in the woods, Rob was honest and told her that her girlfriend did not set it up. She still decided to stay and act out her fantasy.

AND what a hot fantasy it was. I loved it. I loved the various D/s games they played, I love reading about their hot sex and I loved reading how she was conniving to get her spanking and to make him more dominate by topping from the bottom. I smiled and giggled more than once on her antics.

The only thing that really bothered me was that there were no talks at all about safe sex or birth control. Now when a story is a true erotic story those elements get left out but I still prefer a conversation. The Taboo Wishes series are sellar little sexy novellas worth every penny.
