Across the Veil by Lisa Kessler

Across the Veil

Book Blurb:
Princess Talia from Summerland has been hiding across the veil in the human world for the past five years.
Starring in a hit television show as human actress, Natalie Thurmont, her charmed new life is shattered when the past comes knocking on her door.

Come on and tell me that is not a beautiful cover! This is why I love romance. Just look at the way he is kissing her.

Across the Veil is a super short .99 read from Amazon but it is truly an enjoyable little gem.

Normally short little reads like Across the Veil offer the reader very little to wet their appetite or stir up interest. Not true in this instance. The author Lisa Kessler does a great job of placing important facts without the need to over explain in pages of details.

Across the Veil is a lovely little romance. I wish the first pages of the book was more of a prologue to a longer novel.  I could really get into an entire story of Princess Talia and Keth (Kethian of the Gollan Clan).

For such a short little story you have a villian whom you love to hate, a courageous Fae hero willing to sacrifice his heart for the heroine and of course the beautiful princess who has had her heart broken.  Great formula for a paranormal romance.

Noramally I don't give such short stories a 4 heart rating but the fact that the author was able to write enough details into the story and had me wanting more, I am granting 4 hearts.
